De hakhoogte bij de meeste stijlen wordt gemeten vanaf de onderkant van waar de hak de grond raakt, over de zijkant tot aan waar de hak de schoen raakt. Bij schoenen met een plateauzool veranderd de aangegeven hakhoogte niet; maar de hoogte van de plateauzool gaat wel af van hoe steil de hakken aanvoelen doordat je voet in een andere hoek in de schoenen staan (minder steil)

Hoe wij hakhoogten indelen:

Platte schoenen: Hakhoogte minder dan 2 cm (1")
Lage hakken: Hakhoogte van 2 cm (1") tot 5 cm (2")
Halfhoge hakken: Hakhoogte van 5,5 cm (2") tot 8 cm (3")
Hoge hakken: Hakhoogte van 8,5 cm (3,5") tot 17 cm (6,5")
Extreem hoge hakken*: Hakhoogte vanaf 17 cm (7")

* Bij een model zoals de Adore is de hakhoogte 17,8 cm; maar de plateauzool is 7 cm hoog. Daardoor loop je dus eigenlijk op een hakhoogte van 10,8 cm

Heel height is measured from the bottom of heel, along the side to where the heel meets the shoe.

For shoes with a platform, the indicated heel height does not change; but the height of the platform does determine on how steep the heels feel because your foot is at a different angle in the shoes (less steep)

What heights do we consider?

Flats: Heel height under 2 cm (1")
Low Heels: From 2 cm (1") to 5 cm (2")
Mid Heels: 5.5 cm (2") to 8 cm (3")
High Heels: 8.5 cm (3.5") to 17 cm (6.5")
Extreme High Heels*: 17 cm (6,5") and beyond

* With a style such as the Adore, the heel height is 17.8 cm (7") but the platform is 7 cm high (2¾") As a result, you actually walk on a heel height of 10.8 cm
